If you open the hand-made and elegant and wooden case made of Bubinga, you will recognize that our anniversary model, the 1847 LE is a very special instrument, that satisfies the highest demands. The 1847 LE, a harmonica in Richter tuning (C-Major), with an ageless design and a quality never seen before.
With the 1847 C. A. SEYDEL combines its experiences of making harmonicas for 160 years with the technical potential of modern production techniques.
For the making of the only 160 wordwide-available instruments only the best materials were used. Cover plates made from solid silver (935), fine Bubinga real-wood for the comb, silver-plates brass reed plates, reeds and rivets from stainless steel and cover-plates made from solid silver (935).
The cover plates are stamped, "1847", so that the characters stand proud of the plates; an old industrial art that is "re-born" in our anniversary model
The 160 produced instruments are the most precious Blues harmonicas ever to leave our manufacture. They demonstrate both SEYDEL's continual demand for quality and the great pride C.A. SEYDEL takes in producing such.
